About us
Dress Like A Sindy @dresslikeasindy
Founded by Sindy collector and lifelong fan Bonita Turner in 2019, after rediscovering her childhood collection that her mother had carefully stored away in the attic until Bonita had a child of her own, this Instagram account follows the stylish daily adventures of a doll influencer aged 60+.
At its heart is a 60+ doll influencer, proving that confidence, curiosity, and great style only improve with age. Through beautifully staged photographs and imaginative storytelling, she shares her adventures with fellow collectors, doll enthusiasts, and all those who still believe in the enduring magic of Sindy.
Because some childhood treasures are meant to last a lifetime.
Mam’selle Magazine

Each issue is packed with exclusive interviews, collector stories, features on vintage and modern Sindy dolls, editorial content, and beautiful photography. The magazine also showcases images and contributions from collectors around the world, highlighting the creativity, talent, and enthusiasm of the global Sindy community.

Our Founder
With more than 30 years’ experience in magazines, media, and online publishing, Bonita Turner combines her professional background with a lifelong love of Sindy dolls through Dress Like a Sindy, Mam’selle, and a growing range of Sindy-inspired projects. As she likes to joke, these “celebrity models” are much easier to work with than their human counterparts!
A passionate collector and advocate for the hobby, Bonita hopes to introduce Sindy to new audiences through editorial content, photography, events, and exhibitions. She and her Sindy collection have appeared on the ITV programme This Morning, been featured in Silver Magazine, and taken part in a campaign for SKY.
In 2023, she co-curated a six-week exhibition at Chippenham Museum in Wiltshire to celebrate Sindy’s 60th anniversary, showcasing the doll’s rich history, cultural significance, and enduring appeal.
When she’s not creating content, publishing magazines, or organising collector events, Bonita can usually be found styling dolls, planning new adventures for her miniature influencers, or searching for the next treasure to add to her collection.
She lives in Surrey with her husband, daughter, two Ragdoll cats, and an ever-growing Sindy collection.
